Tickets are still available, at no cost, to the SmashCut CineFest at New York’s IFC Center on Tuesday, October 24:
Join us for SmashCut CineFest 2017, the New York premiere of six short films produced through Taliesin Nexus’ SmashCut Film Lab program. …
… Film and video are collaborative art forms. They are the creative product of an entire nexus of people, from producers to writers to directors to editors, as well as financiers and distributors. SmashCut Film Lab aspires to liberate our culture from the stale and stereotypical, encouraging fresh points of view from emerging filmmakers.
In order to encourage the creation of great stories, we serve as a nexus between up-and-coming filmmakers and experienced industry professionals who share a passion for a free society. Filmmakers participating in the film lab receive $10,000 and a professional screenwriter mentor towards the developing, writing and producing their short film. SmashCut CineFest showcases the work done by participants in the SmashCut Film Lab program.
